The title Legacy of Excellence (LE) was created to honor ACFA registered cats who have produced multiple grand champion offspring. Males who have sired 10 or more or females that have produced 5 or more ACFA grand champion offspring qualify for this title. Grand championships may be for entire (unaltered - not spayed or neutered) or altered (spayed or neutered) cats. The title may be awarded to a cat after it has been altered or posthumously.

Once a cat has been approved for Legacy of Excellence, the suffix `LE" can be used after the cats full name on all pedigrees and other official documents. If you wish the "LE" to be used on certified pedigrees, notify the ACFA Central Office at the time you request the pedigree.

Completing and documenting the Application

1. Complete the application on the opposite side of this page.

2. Include the application fee in U.S. funds made payable to : American Cat Fanciers Association.

3. Include documentation. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS

a. Include a copy of the cats registration in ACFA.*

b. Include a copy of each grand champion offspring's registration*

c. Include a copy of each grand champion offspring's grand or multiple grand certificate*

d. Include a copy of the highest award level the cat has achieved, for example Quadruple Grand Champion**

*AII documentation which has been confirmed by ACFA Central Office in written form - rather than your own copies will be accepted. There is a charge for ACFA Central Office Research of $15.00 per hour, with a minimum charge of $15.00.

**This item is optional. The title will be shown 'if this document is included. Reference to the Parade

of Royalty showing such a win can also be used.

4. Photograph of the cat. The cats photo will be placed on the award certificate if sent. (This is optional - email photos are preferred; original photos will be scanned and returned.)
